Support for Update Manager
Update Manager is the application that BMProduction releases to centrally update its products. Through this application the official updates are installed and in some circumstances new versions of the products or components installed (for example at the end of the life cycle) are proposed. Below are the most recent versions of the Update Manager released by BMProduction and their life cycle.

Update Manager 5.0
If the user decides to install the BMProduction Framework 4.0 on the same system, the Update Manager 5.0 will be replaced by Update Manager 6.0. Version 6.0, which works with the BMProduction Framework 4.0 is technically able to correctly update products based on BMProduction Framework 3.0 and BMProduction Framework 3.1 as well. It is good to keep in mind that the life cycle for the products in the catalog based on framework 3.0 and 3.1 ended on January 1, 2020 (CS201904) and the Products for which the support was extended were withdrawn on the thirteenth of May of the same year (BS202004).
When the BMProduction Framework 4.0 is also present on the system, Update Manager 5.0 must be removed and replaced with the new version, otherwise the new products cannot be updated. Update Manager 5.0 will continue to be supported as long as the BMProduction Framework 3 is supported.
Update Manager 6.0
Update Manager 6.0 is the most recent version of the product, which has replaced version 5.1 which ends its life cycle on June 1, 2020 (BS202004). Update Manager 5.1 must be replaced with version 6.0 otherwise the BMProduction products installed will not be able to receive updates. Update Manager 6.0 works through the BMProduction Framework 4.0.
Update Manager 6.0 implements a new, more versatile and robust update mechanism. In addition, the administrator can decide whether to allow users who do not have administrative rights to search for and install updates. From version 4.0 to version 5.1 included, in fact, it was not possible to start the Update Manager without these rights.
